- Clean While I’m Away – Robots should adapt to your schedule. Using a phone's location services, you can now create a defined boundary around your home, so your smartphone automatically starts the robot cleaning (and stops it again) when your phone leaves or returns to the boundary.
- Smart Map Coaching and Room Name Suggestion - The robot helps you through the setup and subsequent cleaning jobs by customizing your Smart Map. This ensures that the map is optimized for intelligent and efficient navigation in your home. It even helps ease Smart Map customization by automatically suggesting names for different rooms once the robot has learned the home's layout and is ready to create a Smart Map.
- Cleaning Time Estimates – In a time crunch? Forgot to start the robot, and now guests are on the way? See time estimates for how long a cleaning will take with the new Cleaning Time Estimates feature. The feature is available on robots with Imprint Smart Mapping1, allowing you to see time estimates in the iRobot Home app for each room/selected rooms.
- Quiet Drive – If the robot needs to clean a specific area, but you also need peace, you can ask the robot to lower the noise when it travels to and from vacuuming. The Quiet Drive feature disables vacuum components when the robot travels to and from a cleaning task.

Roomba j7+, powered by iRobot Genius, not only learns your home but also responds instantly to it with PrecisionVision navigation. This means it identifies and avoids obstacles such as cords and pet waste. If you drop your charger cord on the living room floor, Roomba j7+ sees it and avoids it. If your new puppy left a "surprise" in the hallway, Roomba j7+ will certainly detect it and maneuver around it. With the ability to identify and see walls/furniture, it is also able to slow its movement, ensuring careful cleaning around objects and along edges. By combining this with Imprint™ Smart Mapping and using the iRobot Home app or your voice assistant, Roomba j7+ can learn the home's layout, giving you full control over which rooms to clean. Keeps you informed and follows your instructions
Cleaning improves the more you use Roomba j7+. Thanks to the intelligence from iRobot Genius, Roomba j7+ interactively learns your preferences and adapts to them to ensure clean floors. When Roomba j7+ identifies an obstacle, it sends a picture to the iRobot Home app, where you can instruct the robot to avoid or clean around the obstacle. You can also provide feedback in the iRobot Home app on how Roomba j7+ should handle such obstacles in the future. This way, you are always informed and aware of obstacles, such as pet waste, in your home. It also helps ensure that the robot completes its job.

With the extra storage space, you always have an extra AllergenLock bag at hand. Thanks to the Clean Base, you can forget about vacuuming for months at a time.
