Fisher & Paykel presented State of the Art Collection during Milan Design Week 2026

May 1, 2026

From New Zealand’s raw nature to a sensory design experience in Milan. During this year’s EuroCucina at Salone del Mobile, Fisher & Paykel presented its most comprehensive product launch to date: The State of the Art Collection. The collection was introduced in the installation Nature – Ritual - a 450 m² sensory universe where architecture, materials and human behavior merged into one cohesive narrative about how we live in and use our homes.

From the calm of nature to everyday rituals

Based on the brand’s New Zealand roots, the installation was shaped as a calm, sculptural oasis. Inspired by nature’s balance and tactility – rather than its drama – wood, stone and muted surfaces created an atmosphere of presence and immersion, where the pace slows down and everyday actions gain new meaning.

Here, cooking, storage and hosting were not merely presented as functions, but as rituals, where design and technology work effortlessly together.

With ‘The State of the Art Collection’, Fisher & Paykel brings together the next generation of products within cooking, cooling, wine care, dishwashing and fabric care. For the first time, they are presented as a unified whole - designed to function as architectural elements in the home rather than standalone products.

“When appliances fit seamlessly into life and are effortless to use, they transform everyday routines into rituals. The State of the Art Collection is the physical expression of this belief – products engineered for life, designed to integrate into the home and support how people would ideally live, cook, socialize and care for what matters most,” says Daniel Witten-Hannah, CEO of Fisher & Paykel.

The collection builds on more than 90 years of design and engineering tradition and continues the brand’s focus on precision, materials and long-lasting solutions – with several products already awarded Red Dot Awards.

An experience that made an impression

For Witt Denmark A/S, which distributes Fisher & Paykel in the Netherlands and the Nordics, participation at the fair was an experience that stood out – both visually and atmospherically.

“You could feel it immediately when you stepped inside. It wasn’t just a stand – it was an experience. The atmosphere, the materials and the calmness of the expression made you almost feel transported all the way to New Zealand. At the same time, it was clear how the entire collection is connected - where design, function and integration are conceived as one complete solution rather than individual products,” says Steen Bech-Møller, Nordic Sales Manager at Witt Denmark A/S.

The installation was also noted within the industry for its high level and strong impact, where visitors at times queued to experience the universe.

“It is something very special to have Fisher & Paykel as part of our portfolio. It is a brand that manages to combine design, function and emotion - while delivering a holistic experience that elevates the home,” he adds.

Selected highlights from The State of the Art Collection:

Cooking – architectural precision and intuitive performance
The new generation of ovens is designed to become an integrated part of the kitchen – not just placed within it. With gaps down to 2 mm, they appear almost completely flush with the cabinetry, creating a clean, uninterrupted expression where lines and surfaces remain sharp. The design is executed down to the smallest detail, and the functionality follows suit: Voice control makes operation simple and effortless, allowing the focus to remain on cooking.

Food Care – integrated calm working in the background
The award-winning Column cooling solutions are developed to disappear into the architecture – or stand out as a deliberate material choice. Behind the calm exterior lies advanced temperature control that adapts to everyday life and ensures optimal conditions for food, preserving freshness, texture and taste for longer.

Wine Care – wine storage as an integrated experience
Wine storage becomes a natural part of the space. The integrated modules make it possible to create both striking wine walls and discreet solutions where the overall expression remains uninterrupted. Inside, lighting, materials and precise control support a calm and refined wine experience.

Fabric Care – garment care that elevates the space
With the Minimal Style Fabric Care Cabinet, garment care becomes an integrated part of the home’s architecture. Washing machines and dryers appear as cohesive design elements and open new ways of thinking about laundry solutions – also in spaces where aesthetics plays a central role.

Dishwashing – flexibility and well-considered efficiency
The iconic DishDrawer™ continues to set the standard for flexible and integrated dishwashing. With almost invisible transitions, it becomes a natural part of the kitchen surfaces. At the same time, a new dishwasher with heat pump technology is introduced, which reuses energy during both washing and drying and significantly reduces energy consumption – without compromising results.

A new standard for the integrated home

With ‘The State of the Art Collection’, Fisher & Paykel points not only to new products, but to a new standard for how the home can be conceived. Here, technology is not something that takes up space - but something that works in the background. Design is not something that stands alone, but something that is conceived as a natural part of the architecture.

It is precisely in this holistic approach that Fisher & Paykel stands out. While many solutions focus on individual products, the collection is developed as a cohesive system where every detail, from materials to function, works together and supports a better everyday experience.

The result is a home that functions effortlessly – and at the same time feels thoughtfully designed in every layer. When function, aesthetics and experience merge, something more than just good solutions emerges. A class of its own.
